Founded in 1964, Transcat is one of North America’s largest and leading calibration and compliance services providers.

Transcat became aware of Punchout when one of their largest customers informed them they were going to be buying from all of their preferred suppliers using their new e-procurement system, and because Transcat was considered a preferred supplier, they would be expected to make their web store PunchOut-ready to support this new buying process. It was not stated, but heavily implied, that if Transcat did not comply, they would lose their status as a preferred supplier, which would lead to a decrease in sales or even a lost customer.
